Chemical Peel Plus Microdermabrasion Equals Gorgeous Skin

Here's some skin mathematics you should know about. A chemical peel plus microdermabrasion equals a beautiful complexion. Both treatments exfoliate the skin, getting rid of the dead skin cells that can clog pores, lead to a dull complexion and leave an uneven skin tone. Chemical peels use a chemical peeling agent, such as salicylic acid, to remove the top layer of skin. While microdermabrasion uses a machine and fine sand-like particles to exfoliate the skin. When used in conjunction, these two procedures produce major skin benefits. After microdermabrasion and chemical peels the skin can show minor improvement or major results, depending on how often you receive the treatments. One chemical peel or microdermabrasion treatment will temporarily brighten the skin; while a series of four to six will give you skin amazing results that can last several months, such as smoothing of dry patches and more even tone and pigmentation. A deeper peel will reach the dermis, stimulating collagen production with just one treatment. Fine lines are erased, while the skin itself feels tighter and looks more taut. Our recommendation is to wait two weeks between getting a chemical peel and microdermabrasion to allow for the skin to completely peel after the chemical application. Patients are very pleased with the glowing results of the two treatments.
