Emily M. Mintz, M.D. is a general and cosmetic Board Certified dermatologist at Schweiger Dermatology from Columbia University Medical Center. In addition to treating acne and other common skin conditions, Dr. Mintz enjoys pediatric dermatology, complex medical dermatology, and a variety of cosmetic procedures.
Dr. Mintz is a native Texan and received her undergraduate education at University of Texas at Austin, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society. She graduated summa cum laude from the Plan II Honors Program and then pursued her medical studies at University of Texas Medical School at Houston. There she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Dr. Mintz completed her internship in internal medicine at New York University Medical Center and her dermatology residency at Columbia University Medical Center. She is currently a clinical instructor in Dermatology at Columbia, where she enjoys teaching residents and medical students. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and has presented at several national meetings, including the American Academy of Dermatology and Society for Pediatric Dermatology annual meetings.
