How to Maximize Your Beauty Sleep

A good night's sleep is inextricably linked with the appearance of healthy and youthful skin. Getting some solid shot eye is critical to keeping everything from wrinkles and eczema at bay. Sleep is a time when your skin rejuvenates itself. The ideal amount of sleep is six to eight hours of consecutive sleep, so your body can get through the five stages. During those stages, the levels of cortisol and insulin in your body help to produce more collagen. Delta Sleep, which is the fourth stage of sleep, is when growth hormones surge and tissue repair happens. Here, our tips on how to make sure you're maximizing your beauty sleep:
  • Want longer, fuller lashes? Apply Latisse before going to sleep each night and about two months later you'll wake up with dream lashes.
  • Stay away from heavily salted meals before bedtime, they can contribute to puffiness in the morning.
  • Apply a retinoid before going to sleep, to help increase cell turnover.
  • Use a moisturizer with very emollient ingredients, such as glycerin and hyaluronic acid.
