How Soon Can I Remove My Tattoo?

Sometimes a mistake is realized just about as quickly as it is made.  It is not unusual for us to receive phone calls asking 'how soon can I remove my tattoo' and finding out that the call was placed immediately after the person left the tattoo parlor.  Whether the tattoo just didn't turn out how you had hope, or whether you just had second thoughts after seeing the tattoo on your skin, thankfully these tattoos can be removed.  Tattoo removal expert, Dr. Schweiger, explains that, "The tattoo removal process can be started as soon as the skin is healed after receiving the tattoo.  Once the skin is properly healed, the tattoo removal process can begin." Tattoo removal is performed with specific lasers, which target the pigment of the tattoo ink in the skin.  A series of laser treatments, usually between six and ten treatments, breaks the pigment of the tattoo into tiny fragments.  These fragments are then flushed from the body by the body's own immune system.  If the newest technique of tattoo removal, called the R20 tattoo removal method, is utilized, up to four treatments can be performed during a single visit.  This allows for much faster removal of an unwanted tattoo.
