New York City Dermatologist Dr. Schweiger gives his advice on sunscreen use to Glamour magazine

Jo – Average (age) guess: 50.  She’s really: 38.  It might be: too much time baking outside. A few fixes: Wear sunglasses to protect the delicate skin around your eyes and, repeat with us now, SPF, SPF, SPF!  It must be one that's broad-spectrum and 30-plus, and you have to use it year-round.  If you're dark-skinned, "you already have a low-level SPF built right in," says New York City dermatologist Eric S. Schweiger, M.D.  But you should still smear on the 30-plus stuff, especially before any prolonged sun exposure.
