Q: Are there any good treatments for giant pores?


A: To my knowledge, no topical product has been shown to reduce pore size. However sometimes dermatologists use retinoid creams such as Retin-A, Differin, or Tazorac with some success.

Certain lasers, such as the Fraxel laser (either Fraxel Re:store or Fraxel Re:Pair) are able to provide a reduction in pore size. The Fraxel laser works by producing millions of tiny laser columns that penetrate the skin that stimulate collagen production. I have also had success using the “laser genesis” feature on the Cutera Xeo laser. For either the Fraxel or Laser Genesis treatment, at least 4 total treatments are needed.
