Tattoo Removal with R20 Method vs. Standard (Old) Tattoo Removal Method:
Tattoo removal has often been considered a long and frustrating process. Since most patients require somewhere between 4-20 laser tattoo removal sessions, the treatment can sometimes span over almost six months! There is a fast new way to remove tattoos that is now being utilized at Schweiger Dermatology. The R20 method of tattoo removal produces a faster tattoo removal result and may even work better than other methods of tattoo removal.
Dr. Schweiger explains the difference between tattoo removal with the new R20 methods and tattoo removal with the old methods, "The new R20 method of tattoo removal utilizes the ability to perform multiple tattoo removal treatments during a single visit. During each appointment, up to four tattoo removal treatments can be performed. There is a twenty minute rest period between each of the four tattoo removal treatments. This method of tattoo removal allows four treatments to be performed within a single visit, essentially cutting the number of visits needed to remove a tattoo by four. Additionally, research shows that this new method may allow the tattoo lasers to penetrate into deeper levels of the tattoo, to get a more significant improvement out of each pass.
The standard method of tattoo removal
utilizes a single treatment with the tattoo removal laser during each visit. Our patients who choose to undergo the standard method of tattoo removal still see great results, it just takes them four times as long to achieve the tattoo removal that they desire. At Schweiger Dermatology, we numb the area completely, so that all tattoo removal procedures that we perform are pain-free."
