The New Trend in Botox – Its Being Used for Poker Players!

Botox cosmetic treatment has been smoothing out wrinkles on the face for many years, but a new application for Botox may soon be growing in popularity.  One doctor has introduced the idea of 'Pokertox," a unique method of using Botox for poker players.  'Poker face' is a commonly used term to describe the technique that poker players use to hide their expressions after they have been dealt their cards.  The new technique of 'Pokertox' would assist poker players in hiding their emotions from their opponents, by blocking muscle activity on the face. Dr. Schweiger explains that, "Botox works by blocking the neurotransmitter that stimulates muscle movement.  When performed properly, Botox relaxes overactivity of the facial muscles, which results in prevention of deep wrinkles from forming on the face due to overactivity.  The idea of using Botox for poker players is an interesting one; there is certainly a potential for use here and Botox may assist these players in stopping overactivity of muscles that can be a giveaway as to what cards they have been dealt." It is yet to be seen whether Botox for poker players will take off.  Botox cosmetic treatment is increasing in popularity, as more uses emerge for this exciting medication.  For poker players or non-players, it is important to visit an experienced injector, in order to receive the most natural and effective treatment.  After Botox injections, the treatment takes effect approximately 7-10 days later - so poker players interested in Botox treatment may want to schedule their treatment at least 2 weeks before any major tournament.
