What is the Venus Concept?

The Venus Concept is a non-invasive treatment used to tighten and contour the face and body.   The Venus Concept treatment tightens lax skin, decreases wrinkles, reduces cellulite, and even takes away inches from your body.  Its unique technology allows for long-lasting results with no downtime, pain, or worrisome side effects.

How does the Venus Concept work?

The Venus Concept combines two different mechanisms to tighten and improve the texture of your skin.  It uses a combination of bipolar radiofrequency and magnetic pulses, which work together simultaneously to achieve the desired result.  The magnetic pulses signal the release of growth factors to increase circulation (by stimulating new blood vessel formation) and produce dermal fibroblasts.  The radiofrequency energy results in collagen and elastin synthesis, which results in tighter skin with better elasticity.  Radiofrequency energy also triggers lipolysis (fat breakdown), which improves the appearance of cellulite.

What parts of the body can be treated with the Venus Concept?

Any part of the face and body can be treated with the Venus Concept.  The most commonly treated areas are the lower face, neck, upper arms, abdomen, and thighs.

How long before results are noticed?

Collagen fibers are instantly modified during the treatment, causing an immediate tightening over the treated area.  This effect is noticeable after only one treatment; it is usually more prominent after body treatments than face treatments.  Long lasting dramatic results will be realized after completing the entire series of treatments, though most patients begin to see dramatic improvement after their 3^rd treatment.

How many treatments are required?

For optimal results, we recommend a series of treatments on the area.  6 treatments are ideal for dramatic improvement on the face and 8-10 treatments yield a great result for body treatments.  We recommend a single maintenance treatment approximately every 3 months.

What can I expect during the Venus Concept treatment?

Once you are positioned comfortably, a light treatment gel will be applied to the area being treated.  The treatment will then begin; it is not painful, it feels like a smooth movement similar to a warm massage.  Treatment of one area takes approximately 15-30 minutes and you will be able to return to your regular activities immediately following your visit.  There is no downtime after Venus Concept treatments.
